Job Summary:
Technology professional who has the necessary skills to plan, implement and oversee the computer networks that support in-house voice, data, video and wireless network services. Focus on delivering high-availability network infrastructure to sustain the online and on-site information technology activities of users.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing Tier 2 support for corporate, VIP and international customers, setup configuration for new customers (assigning IP addresses, VLANs, etc.), testing new products for network compatibility and verifying the non-standard solutions developed by the Presales team for customers.
Skills:
- Design, plan, implement and perform maintenance activities for the Access Layer (Ethernet, XDSL, Fiber, Leased Line, Wireless, Satellite)
- Design, plan, implement and support network and business service products “Internet, Data, Video, Voice, Hotspot” over the network for corporate clients
- Undertake change management activities as well as managing external and internal projects
- Ensure availability and performance of network services within the agreed service levels
- Ensure key operational processes, checklists and procedures are documented, up-to-date and implemented
- Address retail change requests such as change of DSLline, change of location, etc. as well as service deactivations/cancellations
- Handle exchange (MOC) trouble tickets related to XDSL for Corporate customers in coordination with the jumpering team
- Configure CACTI for corporate connections for monitoring traffic utilization & threshold
- Support corporate customers with bandwidth upgrade/downgrade, service change requests such as package change, change of media/location, hardware, etc. as well as service deactivation or cancellation
- Investigate and resolve problems for services, delegate tasks to team members, follow ITIL processes and escalate major network-related incidents for core network and follow up until resolved
- Provide Tier 2 and technical supports/guidance to Call Center in addition to performing technical support analysis
- Identify deficiencies and vulnerabilities in addition to providing recommendations for the immediate and long term remediation
- Plan and manage VMANs, VLANs and Public IPs over the core network and CMDB
- Design, plan, implement and manage the XDSL infrastructure, DSL management & database servers (PEM), Huawei NMS and other related servers
- Coordinate with vendors for any updates, fix the bugs and take backups/restorations in case of crash
- Configure and maintain the network protecting devices like UPS and rectifiers
- Test the network devices for different configuration complaint to the core network
- Perform testing / verification for non-standard solutions developed by the Presales team
- Support the Corporate Sales Team for customer related issues regarding implementation
- Support customers with any network related security issues
- Coordinate with customers for international circuit activation and implementation
- Assist the Implementation team in case of any special projects that require complex configurations at the customer side
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly activation statistics reports and weekly/monthly DSLAM ports report
Requirement:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Electronics & Communication Engineering or Information Technology
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant Experience
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is required
